Assessments provide an excellent opportunity to strengthen self-awareness, broaden perspective, and can function as a launch pad for development priorities.  They are most effective when combined with coaching.

dlpCOACHING is certified to provide assessments using the following best-in-class tools.

Birkman Method – measures personality traits that influence behaviors, motivations, and perceptions. Insight regarding the following is provided:

  • Stress Behaviors – unproductive reactions, most often demonstrated when circumstances don’t go as expected
  • Interests – discover the source of energy and motivation for your work roles and activities
  • Usual Behavior – effective way of approaching work, strengths, and most productive style
  • Needs – expectations and preferred environments, usually invisible to others

EQ-i 2.0 & EQ-i 360 – Emotional intelligence is a key indicator of leadership performance.  And when leaders lead well, organizations do well.  The EQ-i 2.0 is a valid and reliable tool that measures the way you perceive and express yourself, develop and maintain social relationships, and cope with challenges.  In addition to a self-assessment, participants may elect to participate in a 360 and obtain feedback from their colleagues regarding essential emotional intelligence competencies.

DiSC Assessment – one of the most utilized assessments around the world.  DiSC is a great way to gain a deeper understanding about your own behavior and the behavior of others.  When used in teams, DiSC can enhance teamwork, communication, and productivity in the workplace.

  • C – People with a C style tend to place emphasis on quality, accuracy, expertise, and competency.
  • D – People with a D style tend to be confident and place an emphasis on accomplishing results
  • i – People with an i style tend to be more open and place an emphasis on relationships and influencing or persuading others
  • S – People with an S style tend to be dependable and place emphasis on cooperation and sincerity

  • Judging / Perceiving
  • Introversion / Extroversion
  • Sensing / Intuition
  • Thinking / Feeling

360 Assessment – 360-degree feedback is a tool designed to gather anonymous feedback from the people who you work with most closely – your supervisor, direct reports, and peers.  This allows you a unique perspective of what others see and experience when interacting with you.

Before the assessment, you and your Coach will identify the key areas you would like to seek input you will identify the “raters” who will take the assessment and share how they experience interacting with you.  The feedback is compiled and sorted into key themes.  You are then provided a customized report and participate in a 1:1 debrief with your coach.
